I don't really know what I'm doing.

I haven't since I was six weeks pregnant with my first child and the early signs of morning sickness started kicking in. Every time I think I'm there, my kids move onto the next stage and I'm back to being clueless again.

Plus it doesn't help looking at yummy mummy blogs - the kind which have insta-filtered photos of kids finger painting Van Gogh's Starry Night or baking vegan souffles before their third birthday.

It's not like there's anything wrong with all that stuff. It's great. But it's unsustainable for plenty of us overwhelmed by tantrums, part-time jobs and half-eaten meals. And it's not like being a Good Mum means you have to be motherhood's answer to Neil Buchanan from Art Attack.

Maybe it's OK to just be OK. In fact, maybe the secret to being amazing is to be consistently good... enough. That way we're not burning out or bursting into tears because our kids didn't roll out the gluten-free cookie dough like we wanted them to.

So I've decided to create my own blog. There's no big sponsorships. No Tiktok account. Just me sharing my musings and any parenting hacks I find in between a mountain of washing and toddler mess. Because we're all super mums, whether we have glossy photographs on social media or are just googling for the odd 30-minute activity before we begin another Bluey marathon.

Either way, we've got this.
